I fell in love with dentistry while in dental school in Bogota, Colombia, at the University of Javeriana. My eyes were opened when I worked in the rural mountain villages and orphanages in Bogota through my university. A huge percentage of the population in Colombia needs the care that the students at my university offered and although we could not help as many people as I desired, the ones we did help made a huge difference. Ultimately, working with the children in the orphanage is what made me want to pursue an education in dentistry.

I continued my education at the University of Florida. I completed a two-year residency in advanced education in general dentistry where I learned implant dentistry. It was at the University of Florida that I was introduced to Dr. Michael McCracken and Dr. Guy Rosensteil, my mentors. Dr. McCracken asked me if I would like to have a chance to be Chief Resident at his program in Birmingham, AL. Without hesitation, I gladly accepted and was introduced to an even more advanced world of implant dentistry and prosthodontics.

In total I spent three additional years in residency honing my skills to help others with their dental needs.

Learning is the key to personal growth in all fields, which is why at Dream Dental Services we constantly try to provide you with not only the best care, but with the most technologically advanced procedures. I have attended the Anatomage Users Group for 3-D CBCT Imaging, the Las Vegas Institute for Sleep Breathing Disorders Advanced Training Course, have trained in the use of Invisalign, Six Month Smiles, Cerac-same day crown training and attended the University of Kentucky Orofacial Pain Fellowship Program. These are just a few of the many ways I have chosen to continue my education, refine my skills and provide better care for my patients
