High power dental microscopes allow our Orlando Dentists to perform dental procedures on a level that is impossible with the naked eye. Because dentistry is a microsurgery, these microscopes enable close-up work, and minimize the glare that patients usually suffer through at other dental offices. Additionally, we don’t use the same drills or “air driven hand pieces” that other dentists do. We use electric hand pieces, resulting in less noise and vibration, so you don’t have to suffer through the usual hairsplitting whine that resembles nails on a chalkboard. These pieces also rotate more effectively, allowing for more precision than air driven drills.
When it comes to digital imagery, Dr. Jonathan Ouellette follows strict guidelines for when and what radiographs will be taken. Radiographs allow the team to see cavities between teeth, bone level, bone health, the nerves and roots of teeth, and cysts or tumors. They are crucial for diagnosing many dental problems. Our digital imaging technology reduces exposure time by fifty percent, in comparison to a traditional radiograph. X-ray technology also offers a high level of precision. Using X-ray technology, we can view images on a computer screen with just 1/6th of the radiation exposure.
